Entrepreneurship at Harvard
Entrepreneurship is fairly new at Harvard Uinversity. In fact, it was pioneered at the Harvard Business School by Professors Howard Stevenson and William Sahlman during eras when its graduates often opted for slots in management training programs such as Ford Motor. Later it was to be jobs with consulting firms such as McKinsey & Co. and then Wall St. became the place of choice. The interest in becoming entrepreneurs was spurred by the the great ecommerce boom. The Harvard Business School now claims that 50% of its graduates become entrepreneurs, a huge change. more »
